Where Documentary Storytelling
Meets Pacific Northwest Sensibility.
Founded in 2015 by filmmaker Marq Evans and photographer Angela Evans, with the creative input of their son Jude—the musical talent in the family on both guitar and drums—our studio has built a reputation for documenting the artists, tastemakers, and cultural forces that operate just outside the mainstream spotlight.
Our feature documentaries include CLAYDREAM (Tribeca premiere, named one of 2022's best by The A.V. Club), THE GLAMOUR & THE SQUALOR (Top 20 music documentary of all time, American Songwriter), and THE DIAMOND KING (released 2025 on Apple TV and Amazon, following its premiere at Palm Springs International Film Festival). Written by New York Times bestselling author Joe Posnanski and narrated by John Ortiz, THE DIAMOND KING tells the story of Dick Perez, the Baseball Hall of Fame's official artist for over two decades. Our next film, CAPTURING BIGFOOT, releases in 2026.
We've also published Bands by Jude, an alphabet book that earned recognition from Rolling Stone alongside works by Dolly Parton and Ringo Starr, the Booze by Bear cocktail book in collaboration with our friends at Cow by Bear, and created limited-edition collectibles like our Diamond Immortals baseball card set featuring artwork by legendary painter Dick Perez.
Through McCaw Photo, Angela serves clients throughout the West Coast with portrait and product photography that captures both polish and personality.
Whether we're making films, books, photographs, or projects that resist categorization entirely, we're committed to work that respects its subjects, engages its audience, and earns its place in the world.
